Pursuant to the Michigan Governor’s Executive Order 2020-75, the Planning Commission Meeting on Wednesday, May 27th at 7pm will be convened electronically.
Members of the public are invited to participate via a Zoom Meeting link or by calling into the conference line during times of public comment or when public comments are invited by the Planning Commission Chairperson. Also please be advised that written comments will be accepted up until the date of the meeting via mail to Township Hall: 6161 Belmont Avenue NE, Belmont MI 49306, or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Who They Are & What They Do The Plainfield Charter Township Planning Commission is a 7-member body appointed by the Township Supervisor with the approval of the Township Board. They meet the forth Tuesday of every month, unless interrupted by holiday timing. The members are meant to represent important segments of the community, such as economic, governmental, education, and social development. The Planning Commission strives to accurately interpret and implement the township zoning ordinance and aims to understand the community's desires for the future development of the township. They work closely with the Community Development Department staff on projects ranging from new commercial development to residential special use permits.
