Recycling Your Election and Yard Signs
Reminder: You can still recycle election and yard signs made from corrugated plastic and metal at the Kent County Recycling Center.
Kent County Public Works has a special collection bin for corrugated plastic and metal signs available for all county residents. You can watch this video or follow the steps below to recycle these signs properly.
- Bring all corrugated plastic signs to the Kent County Recycling Center drop-off area located at 977 Wealthy St. SW between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Labeled collection bins are located near the center’s single-stream recycling drop-off containers.
- Separate the plastic sign from the metal wire. Corrugated plastic sheets go in one bin and the metal sign stands go in the other bin.
These signs cannot be placed in your curbside recycling bin or at any regular Kent County Public Works drop-off station because they can cause damage to recycling machinery.
For information, visit the Kent County Public Works website.
