Township Begins Fall Fire Hydrant Flushing

Red fire hydrant flushing

The Township has started its regular fall flushing of water mains, which may result in discolored water.

If this happens, let your faucet run until the water clears up. The discolored water is not harmful, but residents should wait for it to clear up before ingesting. The discoloration will clear up after Township staff complete the hydrant flushing in the area.

This semiannual process ensures all fire hydrants and water mains are in good working order. It is part of the Township’s commitment to provide residents with the highest-quality water year-round.
