Township to Hold Public Hearing on Proposed Changes to Zoning Ordinance
The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to the Township’s zoning ordinance and map at 6 p.m. on Oct. 26 at Township Hall.
The proposed changes reflect the strategy of the Reimagine Plainfield plan and include:
- Allowing multistory and mixed-use developments that promote economic growth and provide residential housing.
- Developing areas that are friendly for all modes of transportation, such as walking, cycling and driving, including vehicles, busses and delivery services.
- Adding more landscaping and trees that create attractive public spaces.
If the Planning Commission makes a recommendation to the Township Board on the proposed changes, Trustees are expected to consider it in November. The meeting agenda will be available here.
