Interested in a barbecue, movie in the park, games or more? The Comstock Park Community Celebration and Mill Creek Days will take place in August near downtown Comstock Park.

Comstock Park Community Celebration

The Comstock Park Community Celebration returns Aug. 6 at the Kent District Library-Comstock Park Branch, 3943 W. River Drive NE.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m., visitors can enjoy ice cream, crafts and a photo booth as well as play bingo and have an opportunity to learn more about local organizations. The all-ages event is free and open to the public.

The event will conclude with an outdoor movie, “The Croods: A New Age”, at 8:15 p.m. at Dwight Lydell Park next to the library.

Mill Creek Days

The Comstock Park Downtown Development Authority will host Mill Creek Days on Aug. 11-14.

The event is open to all ages and features food from local restaurants, a parade and music, among other activities.
