It's Not Too Late to Participate in PFAS Studies
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is still accepting participants for two PFAS health studies, and Township residents with private wells may be eligible.
The Michigan PFAS Exposure and Health Study will be conducted across multiple West Michigan communities, including Belmont. The Multi-Site Health Study will use data from Michigan and six other states to track blood levels of individuals exposed to PFAS and how they are related to several key health factors.
These studies will help recommend changes to public health policies and better protect communities that may be at greater risk of exposure to PFAS.
The studies vary in their research and requirements of participants. You can review the differences below or by clicking here.
